Great piece of kit. We travel to forest lodge type places and we have tried the disposable BBQs that used to be really great but now seem to not light properly. I wanted to use a different type of bagged charcoal so was looking for a travel BBQ to put them in. This takes about 1 minute to set up and is stable and gives a large cooking area. It's a bit tedious to remove all the blue plastic. Once it cools down you can easily dispose of the ash and give it a quick dust off and fold it flat into its travel bag. Very light and very flat. It's kept in the car but we have used this at home as well as its the best BBQ we have had.

Although measurements are given, it does seem small, my bad. Generally ok but the wire grill you cook on is flimsy and the gap to feed wood is small, so only very small "logs" can be used. Mind you, most alternatives, extra wood cannot be fed in at all when the grill is on? The fact that you can feed the fire when cooking is a bonus. It'll be used on canoe wildcamps, and I'm sure it'll be fine.....just not great. Try the larger model...which was unavailable when I bought this? Well, it has now been used on a canoe wildcamp and worked perfectly well. It can hold a decent amount of wood and of a good size to get an initial fire with enough embers to cook on and can then be fed with wood that is small enough to get under the wire grill. The smaller one was suffient to get 4 pots on simultaneously and cooka good meal for two. The grill wire could support this, but could also be more robust? I originally gave it 3 stars but now I've used it, I'll give it 4 stars.........

This is a great little barbecue. Very compact and portable and no complaint the product itself. However, the whole thing is covered in a blue plastic film (I'm guessing to keep the metal from scratching when shipping). The plastic is lodged in the hinges and is extremely difficult to get off. Meaning, if you can't get it all off you it will get melted off when you first use it and this will result in toxic plastic fumes. To the seller, silly idea to cover a something in plastic thats is going to have intense heat applied to it.

Brilliant bit of kit. idiot proof. bought this as one i ordered didn't turn up for when I needed it. will definitely be using it again just for a fire pit. left a little bit of a scorch mark on the grass. folds down nicely and fits perfectly into its carrying bag. would highly recommend. so for me it's 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was slightly sceptical as to the effect of this fire because it has a relatively light construction. However, it is sturdy and well designed to take medium sized logs. The fire burns well and is well ventilated. It does drop ash through the various air holes, so a fire retardant mat or similar under the fire pit will protect the ground underneath or just catch the ash. I can easily see this fire pit being used at home as well as whilst camping.
