It’s SO small… and the metal is not great quality. I can’t imagine it’ll last more than one summer. I’ve used it once so far. It does the job. Bur I was expecting much bigger and better quality.

Got this to add to the stock of items in the camper van ahead of some late spring/early summer adventuring. I've had folding/collapsable bbqs before and they are usually ok for a couple of uses before they are no longer any good. This model gets around some of the issues with others as it's flat packed and slots together for use instead of relying on hinges and whatnot. The size of the grill is enough to do a proper bbq for a family of 4. Nice and easy to use and so far easily cleanable and no signs of any damage or heat warpage. The painted coating appears to be nicely applied and has not blistered or flaked with initial useage. The grill is easy to clean and has shown no signs of rust from being allowed to drip/air dry. We shall see how many seasons it lasts (I have one from another vendor that is currently in year 10 so it has some solid competition!)

I took this Frost IX portable fire pit and grill combo on a camping trip here in the UK last weekend. The idea of having both a fire pit for the evening and a grill for cooking in one package was what sold me on giving it a try. Setting it up for the first time was surprisingly quick, probably took about two minutes. The stainless steel parts all fold out and slot together logically to form a sturdy-feeling base and fire bowl. It all packs down into an included carry bag, which is quite slim and easy to chuck in the car. As a fire pit, it works great. It keeps the fire contained off the ground, and the airflow seems good for keeping a decent wood fire going. Once the wood had burned down to embers, I put the cooking grills on top to do some sausages and burgers. The grill area is a good "large" size, definitely big enough to cook for two to four people comfortably. The grill itself sat securely on top. After use, the stainless steel will naturally get a bit discoloured from the heat and smoke, but that's to be expected. The main thing is to let it cool down completely before you try to pack it away. Cleaning the grill was easy enough before packing up. For anyone looking for a portable and versatile fire pit for camping or even just for the back garden, this 2-in-1 from Frost IX is a solid piece of kit. It’s well-made, easy to assemble, and does a good job of being both a grill and a fire pit.

This is the perfect little grill for camping or down the beach. It is easy to set up and the ideal size for a small BBQ for about 4 people. The quality seems pretty good however i do feel the RRP is a bit steep for what you get in my opinion. It is easy to fold back up and store once its cooled too. It is reasonably easy to clean too. Ovverall i am pretty happy with it and would recommend it.

I love the idea of this, but somehow it is not working well for us. The instructions on how to put it together are clear and easy to follow. It all slots into place easily and there is a little metal twist that locks it all together. Or so we thought. However, when you lift it up to move it even a few inches, it can easily fall apart even with the locking key in place. I've checked over and over that the instructions are definitely followed exactly and it is set up correctly. It feels sturdy as long at it stays exactly in the place where you set it up. This means we haven't actually used it yet to cook with. I think it would be fine to use it when you know you definitely won't need to move it while it is set up wtih hot coals or food. The grill is made of metal with a smooth surface to touch and nice sheen. It looks great. It comes in a bag to carry it around - though it is very heavy and I woudn't want to carry it very far. I'm not sure how happy I would be to put the bits back into the bag when they are covered in food grease and charcoal dust.... assuming you're taking to somewhere like a park or beach where there is no facility for washing it before packing it again to take it home.
